Silky Oaks supports placement opportunities for a variety of universities across a number of our programs.
Silky Oaks is committed to supporting student engagement with our organisation. Offering practicum placements enables students to develop and refine their knowledge and skills in real-world settings.

Residential Support Workers
Residential Support Workers are primarily responsible for the care and development of children and young people, aged from 0-17, who are under the care of the Department of Child Safety and Silky Oaks. This role operates within the Residential Out-of-Home Care program. Please note minimum qualifications and shift work is required for this position.
Mental Health Clinicians
Are you a Psychologist, or mental health-accredited Social Worker, Nurse or Occupational Therapist? The Embrace Wellness Hub program would love to hear from you. Embrace has fast become the go-to wellness hub for therapeutic intervention on the Bayside and we are looking to grow our practitioner-base. Employment or contract positions are available.
CCC Casual Relief Workers
Educators at the Silk Oaks Childcare Centre (CCC) support the individual education and development of each child through child-centred, play-based learning. The CCC are looking to grow their casual relief pool of Lead Educators, Assistant Educators and Kindergarten Teachers. If you hold qualifications in any of these positions, contact us today.
